Case Study

Transformation in Finance to meet the needs of future consumer demands and business models. Automotive sector entered a phase leaving the traditional way of selling cars behind. As Volvo Car Corporation we move towards direct consumer relationship (through subscription/bundle offers) and online sales (building national sales recommended prices) through digitalization, revenue management and value chain actions. In this direction role of Finance teams are changing, focusing more performance steering, real time data analysis, pricing and simplifying processes with a clear business oriented approach. Accounting routines are being taken care of robots/artificial intelligence, allowing finance teams to drill down to transactions from data compounds/cost and profit centers and guide the business towards profitable growth.
